My coach has a fantastic way of seeming to “summarize” my thoughts and feelings and was immediately able to articulate the challenge I was describing or why I was struggling with a particular situation. She was always present and focused on me, asking probing, thoughtful questions without directing me down one particular path. She didn’t allow me to take anything lightly, didn’t avoid asking challenging questions, which helped me explore all the things that were helpful for me to think through. She was also fantastic at relating similar experiences – or remembering things I had shared in previous sessions and bringing those forward to ‘connect the dots” and point out patterns or different ways of viewing a situation which was always helpful and insightful.
