Leader as Coach
We help leaders learn to build trust quickly, deliver quality one-on-one’s, leverage an individual’s strengths on a team, develop a growth mindset that improves employee engagement, and deliver consistent growth.
Michelle quickly understood what I was looking for and how I operate by asking me a series of questions. She would then call me out on things I might gloss over that were actually patterns or getting in my way. She also shared some examples from other areas and her own experiences, and it often helped me to feel more confident that I’m not the only one.
Michelle challenged my negative thinking and habits, helped me visualize my future, and increased my self-confidence. She was extraordinarily compassionate yet direct and thoughtful in her approach. I found her coaching style authentic, non-judgemental, and highly effective.
Michelle has a fantastic way of seeming to "summarize" my thoughts and feelings and was immediately able to articulate the challenge I was describing or why I was struggling with a particular situation. She was always present and focused on me, asking probing, thoughtful questions without directing me down one particular path. She didn't allow me to take anything lightly, didn't avoid asking challenging questions, which helped me explore all the things that were helpful for me to think through. She was also fantastic at relating similar experiences - or remembering things I had shared in previous sessions and bringing those forward to 'connect the dots" and point out patterns or different ways of viewing a situation which was always helpful and insightful.
